What We Believe

A Declaration of “those things most surely believed among us.”  [LK. 1:1-4]

  1. We believe in the infallible verbal inspiration of the whole Bible. [II Tim. 3:16-17]
  2. That God is a Trinity consisting of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit:   [MT. 28:19]
  3. The Genesis account of creation
  4. The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ:  [Isa. 7:14]  [Mt. 1:20]  [Lk. 1:26-33]
  5. The Deity of Jesus Christ:  [Jn. 10:30]
  6. The substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for sinful man:  [Heb. 2:9]
  7. That salvation is wholly by grace through faith in Christ: [Ep. 2:8]
  8. That believers are secure eternally:  [Jn. 10:27-30]  [I Pe. 1:5]  [II Tim. 1:12]
  9. The bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus, and the bodily resurrection of the saved:   [I Co. 15]  [I Thes. 4:13-18]

  14. That Christ left two ordinances to be observed by His church – baptism and the Lord’s Supper – that baptism is only scriptural if it is by immersion only – that the Lord’s Supper is restricted to faithful members of a local church body
